About Us
Queens and Crowns Foundation, founded by Shirley Hlophe, is a registered Non-Profit Organisation with a mission to restore dignity, hope, and purpose in South Africa’s communities. For over three decades, since 1995, the foundation has consistently served as a grace dispenser, bringing practical solutions and inspiration to children, women, youth, and families.
Our impact flows through two distinct but complementary wings:
1. Community Upliftment – GASTAH (Give A Smile, Touch A Heart)
Through GASTAH, we provide hands-on community support programmes designed to meet everyday needs and build long-term resilience. Over the years, we have distributed grocery hampers, winter blankets, shoes, school uniforms, and sanitary pads to vulnerable groups. We also organise old-age gatherings, youth outreach projects, and care initiatives that promote inclusion, dignity, and kindness. GASTAH embodies compassion in action—meeting people where they are and giving them reasons to smile again.
2. Empowerment & Motivational Speaking – Queenhood Reclamation
Queenhood Reclamation is dedicated to restoring confidence, identity, and leadership in women and young people. Through motivational talks, empowerment workshops, mentorship, and life-coaching platforms, we equip individuals to rise above adversity, reclaim their self-worth, and embrace their God-given potential. This wing is especially focused on women and youth development, creating safe spaces where voices are heard, stories are valued, and futures are reimagined.

From humble beginnings to a nationwide reach, Queens and Crowns Foundation has touched thousands of lives. What sets us apart is not only the length of service—over 30 years of consistent impact—but also the heart of service that remains rooted in faith, compassion, and action.
